Perry and his wife Margo, are the owners of Hawker Funeral Home.

Perry L. Hawker

He was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. He graduated from Snake River High School and served an LDS mission to Argentina. He worked at a funeral home in Pocatello while he studied pre-architecture at Idaho State University. Upon completion at ISU, the decision was made to pursue a mortuary education at Cypress Community College in Cypress, California. In 1990 Perry purchased the funeral home from Dean Hill. He and his wife Margo have four children, Blake, Royce, Chelsie and Madison.

Margo  Hawker

Margo was born in Rexburg, Idaho, to Kent and the late Bonnie McGarry.  She graduated from Snake River High School and attended Rick's College and received an associates degree in office education.   Margo worked as a secretary for a construction company and a law firm  while Perry was attending college.

Troy is a funeral director and manager of the Blackfoot office since 1997. He was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho. He graduated from Madison High School and served an LDS mission to Detroit, Michigan. He studied mortuary science at Cypress Community College where he became great friends with Perry Hawker. Following school at Cypress, Troy worked for Hilgenfield Funeral Home for four years in Anaheim, California and then for eight years in Jerome, Idaho for Hove-Robertson Funeral Home before moving to Blackfoot. He and his wife, Kathy, have four sons, Taylor, Jensen, Payten and Jackson.

Ryan is a funeral director. He was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. He graduated from Snake River High School and served an LDS mission to Costa Rica. He studied mortuary science through Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado. Ryan started working at Hawker Funeral Home in 1999. He and his wife No’el have three daughters, Abbie, Avery and Juliette.

Serena Yancey has worked as a secretary for the Blackfoot office since 1993. She was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. She graduated from Snake River High School and Ricks College.   She married Paul Yancey, they have two daughters, Erika (Matt) Christiansen and Charyn. She has two grandchildren, Parker and Paige.  She worked for Valley Bank and the City of Blackfoot before coming to work at the funeral home in 1993.

Viola Hansen has worked as a secretary for the Blackfoot office since 1997. She was born in California, as a military brat.  She graduated from Blackfoot High School. She attended Blackfoot College of Beauty where she received her cosmetology  license. She has also worked several years in the medical and dental business. She married Reed Hansen and they have lived in Thomas for the past 40 years. They have three sons, Michael (Heidi), Shawn (Cherie), Bryan (Polleen) and 9 grandchildren.

Genny has worked as a secretary for the Blackfoot office since 2008.  She graduated from Blackfoot High School. She is married to Curtis and they have three children, Cassie, Jessica and Luke.  

Dean Goodwin

Dean Goodwin was born and raised in Thomas. He graduated from Snake River High School. He has four children, Suzette (Kevin), Spencer (Denise), Jordan (Emily), Josalyn (Rhett) and 9 grandchildren. He recently retired from the site and works in the evenings at viewings and as an assistant at the funerals.

Dewane Wren

Dewane was born in Blackfoot, but raised in Aberdeen.  He returned to Blackfoot to work in the Blackfoot School District for 33 wonderful years.  He married Melanie and together they had seven children, Jody, Amy, Jared, Eric, Kyle, Brad and Shawn.

Brent Pearson

Brent was born and raised in Lost River Valley.  He married Josie and they have two children, Kevin and Gina.  Brent is active as a pilot, EMT and has been our Arco funeral director since 2007.

Jody Pearson was born and raised in Arco, Idaho . She graduated from Mackay High School. She married Doug Pearson and they have five children, Jaris, Ryan (McKinzie), Lindsey (Dustin) Hymas, Devin, Dallin and one grandson, Jaten Hymas. She is the office manager for the Arco office and has been with the funeral home since 2006.
