Life Legacy

Scott Edward Wheeler, 52, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot. He was liked by anyone that met him and always left people with a smile on their face.

He was born October 23, 1960 in Monticello, Utah. He is the son of Bryan and Renae Wheeler. He was raised in Snowville, Utah by his parents

He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1978 and served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the San Bernadino/Ventura California Mission.

In May of 1982, Scott met Jill Ludon Jensen. They were engaged five days later and married two and a half months after that on August 5, 1982 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have been living their fairytale together for 31 years.

Scott served for nine years in the United States Air Force, which took his family to places like Maryland, New Mexico, Italy and Washington. He was honorably discharged in 1994. He received a Bachelor’s degree from ITT Technology. He has worked in the computer technology field and was working on a Master’s Degree at the time of his passing.

Scott was known and loved by all because of his amazing ability to think of a pun for any and all situations. His goal was to make sure that every person he came in contact with had a smile on their face and a joke in their head before he left.

He is survived by his wife, Jill Jensen Wheeler; children, Aubrey (Daniel) Monson , Ashley (Christopher) Heiner and Jared (Alyssa) Wheeler; his parents, Bryan and Renae Wheeler; and four granddaughters, Samantha, Abigale and Kathrine Monson and Haylee Wheeler; brothers, Brent (Deanna) and Duane (Shylo); and sisters, Lois (Troy) Oldham, Karen, and Kimberley (Adam) Strank.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jay Allen Wheeler; grandparents; and a cousin.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at The Wheatridge Ward LDS Chapel, 5080 S 3100 W in Roy, Utah. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at The Wheat Ridge LDS Church and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services on Friday.
